The first step was to flip the Tree Alley Road image.
step 2 of 8
I dropped the picture of the GTO into the scene and began cleaning up the edges.
step 3 of 8
Most of the car is cleaned up here, but the shadow with the incorrect pavement remains to be replaced.
step 4 of 8
I used the pen tool trace the shadow, then saved the selection, deleting the original shadow & non-matching pavement.
step 5 of 8
I added this car, also from my own files, and followed all the same steps as with the GTO.I did have to flip this one, so a driver had to be added.
step 6 of 8
The masks for the shadows were loaded and color picked from existing shadows.Shadows were airbrushed and about 2.2 gaussian blur applied. The trajectory of the sunn seemed to be about 45 degreees, so I shortened the shadows on the cars to match. The reflections of other pavement and close trees & objects were airbrushed from the GTO. The over all piece was cropped to drop dead space.
step 7 of 8
The reflections on the goat were actually not adjusted until this step.
