Cut out the Avocado, used liquify to provide the contours on the face.

Created eyes using marquee tool.

Added highlights to the eyes and created the tongue from the cut avocado. Used liquify to adjust the shape.

Took the seed, modified it using liquify until I had a shape that I was happy with. Started duplicating and turning, resizing as I went.
step 5 of 5
Used dodge and burn tools to add highlights and shadows to the spikes.
