First I used the contest's original image as a reference to sketch out my ideas.

Then I started on the task of creating my elements with the pen tool.

Next, I assembled all of the elements together and tweaked them a bit.

After this, I added the floor, walls and frame using various gradients and layer styles.

Finally, I added the little guy's portrait inside of the picture frame. Thanks for viewing, everyone!
