I selected the pattern on the building to use as my border, but because of the change in angle of the pattern I could only use a very small section.

Next I created a nice square pattern tp go in the corners.

I have turned on the grid in photoshop. and placed my dots and breaks for the knot.

I warped the letters C and I to fit my knot, the green background is to help with masking. Finally I added my background, which is the cement render inbetween the windows on the source image, and embossed the knot and added some shadows.
