With the Circle Marquee + Square Marquee tool create the head of a the lamp. Adding stroke to center, inside, and outside. In relation to your light source pick colors and size of stroke.

Create a light bulb. Again using, I used the Circle and Square Marquee tools and added a few layer styles.

Layer Style 1: Drop shawdow about the color of a light yellow

Next add Inner shadow: Yellow move until you get the look you want.

Next add Outer shadow: Yellow move until you get the look you want.

Next add Outer Glow: Yellow move until you get the look you want.

Next add Color Overlay: Yellow move until you get the look you want.

Next add Stoke: Yellow move until you get the look you want.

Next I add a Hue/saturation layer and parts to a clock. I created my clock but to save time you may want to us a picture of the parts. Also created a frame and mask out the middle of the clock to show depth. To my lamp clock.

Add a Plastic Wrap to the top part of lamp only. I gave it a glass look and cool gray like color.

Next add a levels layer to get the tone I wanted.

Next I draw out a Circle Marquee and Inverted it and feather it about 56 points. Fill with black (Option/ Delete). Draw their focal point to center.

Add your Clock again, I created my clock but you can us a picture if you like. Just make sure you get the colors to work with your project.

Add some text too help define my work. Used a drop shadow and different size text.

Add a Title, with a gradient and drop shadow. Text was made to curve by typing on a circle path. Uncheck drop shadow box so that I could move shadow without moving all shadows.
