First of all I arranged the flowers, leafs and so on to rebuild the original design.
And I'd like to mention, that I masked the first time in my life with channels. I'm kinda proud now ;)
It's not as hard as I always thought!
step 2 of 9
I cut out the parts I don't wanted pretty roughly, I admit ;)
I didn't used this sky in the final picture (but without the texture right now it looks strange), so I mention the link only here.
All the white stuff (that should look like clouds) was done with the same method.
I'll show it with this picture.
step 4 of 9
I filled the background with blue, load the selection of the clock-thing, made a new layer and feathered the selection with 2 pixel (I feathered the other things with 5 pixel, but 5 was too much here, so I wasn't able to read the numbers anymore)
After that I used a lighter blue as foreground colour and white as background colour.
Then: Filter-Render-Clouds
So this it what it looks like after that.
step 5 of 9
After doing this for all parts I wanted to be "alive" I copied each layer and set the layerstyle to screen, so they look more bright
step 6 of 9
Now it's time for the rough edges ;)
I used a big soft eraser (300 px) and moved it with a big distance over the edges of the remaining original clock to get a smooth "crossover"
step 7 of 9
Just some tiny things here.
I added another berry on the right side, cause there is heaven, what means, that there has to be also a berry. Besides that I smudged the white parts of the clock, to make it look more like clouds.
step 8 of 9
I cut out the girl and copied her on a new layer and arranged the background an the wall with layerstyle set to linear burn.
step 9 of 9
And the last step: finally some shadows for the flowers and so on.
Some grass in front of the clock, cause without it, it looks extremely strange ;)
