This is the background which I created in Bryce...
step 2 of 11
This is the Bryce wireframe for my background set-up....I have arranged some terrain, trees, and grass, applied a sky setting, and changed the ground plane to a water mat.....shown here are the front and top views.
step 3 of 11
Next comes the fairy model, which I rendered on both a black and white background for best cropping....
step 4 of 11
For my fairy model, I started off with the basic Vic4 model in Daz...changed the skin tone, and added some jewelled accessories (which I removed later)
step 5 of 11
My computer froze mid creation, so I had to re-make my model, this time I remembered to put the clothes on AFTER I posed her, since they don't conform to the pose.....Since I was positioning my model in a boat, I used an actual 3D model of a boat to pose and adjust her accordingly...(also, forgot to mention in the previous step that I used the white mat for the hair)...
step 6 of 11
I imported a lantern (also free at renderosity.com) and scaled it down, moved it to fit between her fingers, and adjusted her fingers to curl into the ring and hold it....Then I brought my figures back into Bryce, rendered on a black setting with some lighting adjustments, then a white setting.
step 7 of 11
I cropped out my fairies easily using the magic wand, layered them, and added a blurred copy for enhancement.
step 8 of 11
I cropped out the boat, layered it twice; added the cutout filter to one layer, and a green hue to another, then blended the layers.
step 9 of 11
I used a brush to make this design, warped it, faded it, added a green outer glow, then blended it into the background.
step 10 of 11
I added some light filters to the background....and that's pretty much it.
step 11 of 11
I accidentally deleted this step, think it should be 5...anyway, added jewels which I removed later, changed eyes to natural purple, added elf ears, wings, and an elven strap outfit, all accessories which can be found and downloaded free on renderosity.com
