Used the pen tool to remove the stone globe.
step 2 of 7
Used clone tool to extend wall, plaza and rim of pedestal
step 3 of 7
More cloning, this time of the background trees.
step 4 of 7
Using the image from step one, placed the gardens and tree under it and trimmed away the excess.
step 5 of 7
Used wand for shape of globe, filled with white and reduced opacity. Used gaussian blur for glare, but later removed it.

Used the tutorial from http://www.digitalartsonline.co.uk/tutorials/index.cfm?featureID=1743&pn=1 (with some alterations) to cover screen with snow.
