have u ever had one of those assignments you can't stand doing? well this is my cardboard project from school..
step 2 of 10
the photo I took of the guitar was boring so I changed its orientation with the Spherize Tool
step 3 of 10
Here are the source parts used; they were cut with the pen tool and afterwards copied a few times and warped
step 4 of 10
Here are the elements that form the guitar body; each one resembles the reference picture and I achieved this with the warp tool; I have used hue/saturation adjustment layer for different colors and tones and the Bevel and Emboss with a Drop Shadow for the tickness
step 5 of 10
Background elements were also cut from source; for the big sphere I used Spherize, for others Warp and Distort types with different settings
step 6 of 10
a few Distort types and their result
step 7 of 10
step 8 of 10
step 9 of 10
step 10 of 10
Put everything together, added shadows and changed some colors; I also added a brown layer set to Multiply and its copy to Overlay at lower opacities so you can still see some of the cardboard texture from the reference
Perfect!
