1. Started of by selecting the water, then I deselected the rocks and bird, using quick mask.

2. I wanted the freedom of being able to change the selection, so I saved the mask in the channels panel.
3. I duplicated the original layer, applied my selection, and created a mask.

4. I filled the water with a gradient set to color

5. I selected the sky

6. Created a mask

7. I copied the clouds to a new layer
8. Filled the clouds with pink and yellow

9. Filled the sky with pink and yellow, the sky layer is below the cloud layer

10. Using the masks, I selected the hills and rocks and copied to a new layer.

11. Put a photofilter layer over the rocks to give them a little colour and warmth.

12. Brought back visibility of all layers.

13. Used Topas Adjust – Spicify to add more drama

The colours didn't look quite right so I filled the whole image with a bright red. Blending mode set to color.

To modify the fill I created a mask and used a gradient from black to white at 75% opacity
