2. I selected part of the left opening, and made 3 copies of that, Moved them into place.

3. With cloning and coping I repaired the joins and missing bits.

7. With a mask I removed some of the foreground to make the cow fit behind the gate.

9. I mask the calf and copy to main image, with the mask, so It can be fine tuned later.

10. Continued to clean up around the calf. Some There was still some green tinges around the edge, I got rid of that with the color replacement brush, with repeated colour sampling.

11. Used curves to darken the calf. Masked some of it so the back half would be darker.

13. Duplicated the layer, and started with the Magic eraser around the flowers, set to a tolerance of 15, change it to 32 for the red wall. The colour of the floor was too close to the pot, so I used an ordinary eraser.

14. When I had deleted the background, I Cntr clicked on the thumb to make a selection, I then changed to the original layer and created a mask. I now have a non destructive mask, and can clean up anything I missed or bring back things I should have removed. An easy way to find mistake is to place a layer below the image, and fill with a colour. The top layer can now be deleted.
