i selected a part of the granite and applied the spherize filter twice, then i added a white to black radial gradient set to hard light to create the shadows and highlights

I selected some leaves to create the planet, i used the same process as described above to create the moon.

I created a gradient (light dark blue and dark blue - almost black) for the background, then i went with a white, soft brush set to 5px, 8px and 10px to create the stars, i then applied an outer glow. I also added the planet and the moon.

I appluied the same gradient to the moon and the planet as the one i used for the background, to help them match up.

I scattered a few more planets around in the background
