First i got all my parts and assembled the fly

Here i blended all the colours together and added some shadows, this gave me the final animal

I used a chalk brush (ordinary photoshop brush) with these different colours and applied them to the background.

I then applied a gaussian blur filter set to 53 pixels
step 5 of 5
I isolated a bit of the corn and duplicated it various times, with a few adjustments.
