white background layer...

placed source image and masked out wing shape from mountains....
step 3 of 12
selected dark pixels from masked out shape and deleted....

placed my own image of clouds, which i distorted using flexify, then added light filters after changing hue/saturation....

my own image before distortion....

i changed the hue and saturation to the masked out wing area, and added luce light filter....
step 7 of 12
duplicated, added another light filter to change colors...layered over first...

added antennae.....just drew a line, filled, and warped.

duplicated wing layer again, added light filter, placed beneath others....
step 10 of 12
duplicated my cloud layer, pinched it in a little bit, then layered over everything....
step 11 of 12
grouped the butterfly parts, duplicated, transformed, duplicated those two, merged, duplicated again, and merged to create butterfly ring...

duplicated layer, added a radial zoom blur and placed underneath
