Victorian house was chopped, then using edit/transform, scaled to fit area where I wanted it.
step 3 of 12
Overlay of light blue is airbrushed over background
step 4 of 12
House is duplicated then with edit/transform/flip vertically the house is placed in water as reflection, then airbrushed to blend into water.(Soft airbrush, down to 10-20)
step 5 of 12
Weeds from a winter scene are chopped, then added at bottom, giving more perspective to scene. The horse and sleigh are also added and girls added inside sleigh.
step 6 of 12
A new layer is added as an overlay, then given a pattern (streaks), opacity is cut down to 20-40 until streaks are size needed, then with adjust tool, gaussian blur and motion blur are added.
step 7 of 12
Source photo for foreground weeds which was taken near our home.
step 8 of 12
Source photo for girl in red.
step 9 of 12
My photo of this horse and sleigh is from a museum we visited. Since the perspective was really off, the horse had to be brought into perspective by using several tools. First, I used liquify to reshape the head, ears, and rump area. I also used edit/transform/distort and perspective tools to further manipulate the shapes. Part of the sleigh was missing, so after taking out background, clone tool and airbrush and paintbrush were used to recreate missing part of sleigh.
step 10 of 12
This photo of the same sleigh was from a different angle, but offered details needed to complete missing parts of sleigh.
step 11 of 12
This old victorian house I photographed in our hometown. It is being restored for a museum. After chopping, it was made smaller with edit/scale, placed above the lake, then duplicated using (alt), and turned upside down for reflection using (edit/transform/flip vertical). Then soft airbrush was used to soften and blend into background.
step 12 of 12
A Christmas photo of my grand daughter was chopped, scaled to a small size, and placed inside the sleigh.
