Next, create one metal tread that will be used for his wheels. Then create a spline in the shape of his wheels. Aline the tread to the spline.
step 3 of 22
Duplicate the tread and move it so its just barley not touching the original. Then duplicate that one and rinse and repeat until you have one full wheel.
step 4 of 22
Using cap less cylinders and other basic shapes, create what could be the mechanics that make the treads spin.
step 5 of 22
Create his hands using basic shapes and planes.
step 6 of 22
Using a spline create the outline for his eye and then put it under an extrude nurb.
step 7 of 22
Create a cylinder and change its opacity and color so it looks like a camera lens.
step 8 of 22
Using basic shapes, shape the back of his head.
step 9 of 22
Using two splines and a sweep nurb, create the wire that connects his head to his neck.
step 10 of 22
Duplicate the who side of his head and rotate and adjust it as needed. "Symmetry people!"
step 11 of 22
Using basic shapes create what will be his neck. Feel free to make nuts and bolts.
step 12 of 22
Duplicate everything, rotate it, adjust it and make it symmetrical. Then you have your Wall-e!
step 13 of 22
Export the UV to photoshop and add any textures and colors you want. Start with the grunge first as I did here.
step 14 of 22
Then add the colors!
step 15 of 22
Then the text or any pictures you want!
step 16 of 22
Import the texture into C4D and enjoy!
step 17 of 22
Now for EVA! Once again using basic shapes, create EVA's body parts. Since it was a slight bit harder to get her body parts to look right I used an F.F.D to tweak the mesh to get it just right.
step 18 of 22
Export EVA's UV to photoshop and create her face using the ellipse tool. Then use filter>render>glass on the blue of her eyes to make them look robotic then import the UV into C4D.
step 19 of 22
Render EVA with her new texture to make sure it ok. If not making any adjustments needed and re-render.
step 20 of 22
Place Wall-e and Eva in the scene. Adjust the movement of the characters as needed. Add lighting to the scene.
step 21 of 22
Create Wall-e's Cog flower using a cog spline and a cylinder under an extrude nurb. Place it in his hand and close his "fingers" (?).
step 22 of 22
Add the background image as a background tag. Place Wall-e and Eva where they belong in accordance to the background and re-render your final image!!!!
