I created a certain document and filled the background layer with black.

I created a text layer with a number " 8 ".

I duplicated my text layer.

I moved and placed the original text layer at the bottom edge of the canvass/document.

I moved and placed the duplicated text layer at the top of the canvass/document.

I merged the two text layers.

I created a new text layer with a number " 8 ".

I duplicated the text layer two times.

I merged the 3 text layers.

I duplicated the merged text layers.

I placed the original merged layer at the corner left of the canvass/document.

I placed the duplicated merged layer at the bottom of the original merged layer.

I duplicated one copy of the two layers.

I transformed and flipped the duplicated layers to form a square.

I merged the text layers that formed the square.

I duplicated the merged layer for three times and resize it.

I placed one merged layer at the top to connect with the main text layer.

I placed two merged layers at the bottom to connect with the main text layer.

I merged the four merged layers into one layer.

I made a separate canvass/document.

I made a text paragraph made up of 8's in the new canvass/document.

I defined the new canvass/document in to a pattern.

I applied a layer style on the background layer.

I applied the Patter Overlay Effect.

I merged all of my current layers.

I duplicated my merged layer for one time.

I applied a filter on the duplicated merged layer.

I applied Spherize.

I resized my filtered layer and placed it at the center of the canvass/document.

I turned off visibility on the filtered layer and turned on visibility on my original layer and applied a filter.

I applied Glowing Edges Filter.

I turned off visibility on the layer I applied the Glowing Edges Filter and turned on my other filtered layer.

I duplicated it two times.

I merged all of my current layers.

I made a new text layer with the word Octophobia.

I applied Warp Text option then applied Fisheye Effect.

I applied a layer style on the current text layer I had made.

I applied Outer Glow Effect.

I duplicated my current text layer and transformed the duplicated one, flipped it vertically and then placed it at the opposite position to my original text layer.

I merged all of my current layers.

This is the Flattened Output of the design.
