The hand was imported into the desert background which i applied some effect to, such as blur and colour saturation set to overlay.

I added the field and masked it to the hand, i also added some grass using the default grass brushes in photoshop, but i ended up removing it for the final image.

The tree was added and i applied some adjustments to the tree, i then used the cloud brushes to select parts of cloud from the source image, which i then imported, edited, adjusted and warped to achieve the final effect. I then extracted the lighting and placed it on the image as well.

I used the pen tool to select the tree to make it look as though the lighting had cut through it.

I added some brushes as debris from the tree and also added some water splashes with shadows and fooled around with colour and opacity. The rain was created by using Motion Blur on a "noise" layer set to screen
