I applied the Nic Filter 'Midnight Blue' to the original source.
step 2 of 9
Then I selected the sky with the Magic Wand tool and painted it a night sky color. That left me with a hard 'selection' line and I blended that out with the Healing tool and a very small brush size.
step 3 of 9
Now comes the moon. That was done with a brush and white paint at an opacity of 45%. I had to erase out the part that went behind the leaves.
step 4 of 9
The moonbeams were made with the light beams brush. Using a low opacity (18% or so) stamp the beams into place and erased the parts that fall outside the Light perimeter.
step 5 of 9
I thought I needed a point of intrest so I stamped a deer in the background with a medium brown brush and adjusted the density with levels.
step 6 of 9
I added another deer in a different pose to the nearer side of the light pool. I used the Dodge tool to lighten the highlighted areas of the body. I tried to follow the musculature of the body with the light to give it some realism.
step 7 of 9
I used the glitter brush to add some sparkles to the moonbeams.
step 8 of 9
Here stars have been added with a star brush and erased off of the leaves. Use a low opacity so they do not appear too bright. (25%)
step 9 of 9
The final image has been adjusted with the Levels Control. I felt that it would be too dark to see as it was, although it was not too dark on my monitor. I find that dark peices are hard to see once they are uploaded to this site so the adjustment was made in hopes that you would be better able to view it.
