A Work in Progress: Santa's Blotto

used the reference image of santa (see link) and used the back of the straight orange chair, to create each piece of his suit using the warp and liquify tools, then hue/saturation to change from orange to red. and the white pieces are from the back of the straight white chair.

used dodge and burn to add shape and dynamica to his suit.

the background is just a dark blue to slightly lighter blue gradient, the snow is a white large soft brush.

Added santa's face. used some of the white chair with the smudge tool to create the beard, moustache, and eyebrows. his face is a pen tool shape, that i dodged and burned. the cheeks and nose are just red/pink paint spots.

added the wine glass and shadow. The moon is just an off yellow circular selection. Slightly dodged and burned.

added the wine bottle using the same techniques as the wine glass.

added the remaining shadows.

used paint and the smudge tool to create the fire, used the round chair as the fire base.

used a soft brush to create the smoke, used the back of the black chair to create the chimney stack. Dodged and burned to create the highlights.
