The frog was imported into the source, which was previously cropped

I selected a patch of sand using the marquee tool, and using the liquify tool i matched the shape of the frog. Using a layer mask I revealed the eyes and nostril of the frog, and then using the dodge and burn tools I added depth

The same process is repeated in the creation of the sand frog

Using a custom brush and two colours sampled from the source, i created sand streaming from the frog's mouth

Part of the source was selected and imported intoa nother blank document. A gradient from a lighter blue to a darker blue was added. Bumps were added to the ground using the liquify tool, and the sand was transformed using the perspective transform
