Started of with a simple dot and "molded" this shape as a start. The colors are seperate layers the smudge is 1 layer

Added the jewel on top of the birds head and curved the beak

Worked more on the stone on top and added a wing
step 6 of 7
A ring of red stones on the birds head

Worked some more on the backtail wing and the overall colours
