This image shows the texture file that i imported into a blank canvas
step 2 of 17
These are the three colours used for the cave paintings
step 3 of 17
Some adjustments were applied to the stone to make it seem more indoors and worn.
step 4 of 17
The basic tree was created in two steps, the basic shape and the shadows and highlights. The final blend mode was "Vivid Light"
step 5 of 17
Using the smudge tool i also applied some smudge marks around the outside of the tree to create a moor hand-made feel to it. This same process is repeated through all the drawings
step 6 of 17
Again, the same steps:
- basic shape
- shadows highlights
- blend mode change
- smudging (shown in next step)
step 7 of 17
step 8 of 17
Same process for the second animal
step 9 of 17
Some scattered patches were were painted
step 10 of 17
smudginga round the edges
step 11 of 17
These two parts of the source were used around the image to create some more texturing
step 12 of 17
This shows the floral patterns applied.. i wanted the effect to be subtle so maybe the textures are hard to see.
step 13 of 17
The beads (or sequins... those things on her dress) were added
step 14 of 17
The next few steps show were the hands were used to create subtle textures.
step 15 of 17
blending of the middle hands and i also added hands at the sides.
step 16 of 17
Light streaks added
step 17 of 17
the basic water was created using the Flaming Pear filter -> Flood, but this was completely painted over with reflections and colour changes as well as adjustment changes
