step 5 of 15
Dino is moved into source w baby chicks after images of both sources are set to same resolution. It will now be chopped w magic wand and eraser tools.
step 6 of 15
Dino has been chopped here with the magic wand primarily. Rough edges will be eliminated with eraser brush tool w hard edge.
step 7 of 15
The dino is placed inside of egg by rotating slightly with edit/transform/rotate tool, then with dino opacity reduced to 60% , the erase tool removes the part of dino extending over the eggshell. Opacity is then put back to 100%
step 8 of 15
Here the dino and egg are cropped.
step 9 of 15
The cropped dino and it's egg have been merged into one layer and moved into new canvas with chicks and feeder source behind it. Using the hue/saturation tool, dino and egg are changed into greens.
step 10 of 15
Chick source chicks just hatched is added after canvas size is doubled (click on canvas re-size square on right side to increase left side) then background of both chick sources is removed, so that straw can be added.
step 11 of 15
Straw source is moved into new, wide canvas, and sized so that straw looks proportionate to chicks by using edit/transform/scale tool. Now the straw is dupllicated using alt key, until enough to cover entire canvas. After merging all the straw just duplicated, it is sent to back layer.
step 12 of 15
Edges of duplicated straw are blended with clone tool, then shadows added with burn tool throughout canvas where needed.
step 13 of 15
Some final color changes have been made to bring chicks into same color pallette with airbrush. Dino's eye has been made brighter using brush tools.
step 14 of 15
Last of all, I decided to add the red tongue for a humerous touch and just a punch of color.
step 15 of 15
An overlay of 483 panatone brown is added over entire canvas to complete the project.
