ship wheel
Original image
step 1 of 14
I cut out the ship wheel using pen tool and mask and reduced its size.
step 2 of 14
I placed the photo of the sea in a new layer.
step 3 of 14
I merged the two layers and placed the frame in a new layer.
step 4 of 14
I placed the photo of the sailor in a new layer.
step 5 of 14
I made a copy of the frame, turned it 90º, put it over the sailor and adjusted its size.
step 6 of 14
In a new layer at the bottom I placed the texture.
step 7 of 14
In a new layer at the top I placed the consle-table and got rid of its background.
step 8 of 14
Then I worked on shadows, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation and added photo filtre to the ship wheel picture. Used burn and dodge tool too.
step 9 of 14
I added some highlights to the frame and applied dirt brush to the picture.
step 10 of 14
Then I started to work on the sailor stuff, adjusting only brightness/contrast. To the frame I added highlights and shadows.
step 11 of 14
Now the table. I adjusted brightness/contrast and added photo filtre and shadows to it.
step 12 of 14
I placed the dry roses in two new layers at the top and after getting rid of their backgrounds I merged the layers.
step 13 of 14
Only shadows were added to the flowers and I used burn tool too.
step 14 of 14
I merged all the layers in a new layer at the top and duplicated it. Applied gaussina blur to the copy and overlay blending with 25% opacity.
