Here i copied the outline of the cactus, minus the spines

I used Modify/contract by 15 px to contract the selection.
step 3 of 6
I then deleted the center of the cactus.
step 4 of 6
Which left me with this, it gives the effect that the cactus is sliced in half.... i hope.
step 5 of 6
Added the hotel room into the deleted part of the cactus, behind the source image, and resized it.
step 6 of 6
Here i added in the girl and some shadows around her.
