I started with making a simple texture for the poolstick in photoshop.

The stick was created from a cylinder and scaled, then I added the texture to it.

I used a box for the table and I extruded a piece at the top. The 6 cylinders are going to be the holes later on.

The carpet was made from a plane which I extruded. I also added a plane as floor.

I used boolean to remove the cylinder selection from the table and carpet.

I created two spheres and added the two textures on them. I also placed the stick on the table.

I created a large box and flipped it and I put a wooden texture in it. The texture comes with the program.

For lighting I used a sphere light.

I finished by fixing rest of the materials, all from the program, and adding a camera view in front of the two balls.
