movie makeup
step 1 of 9
I asked my friend to pose for me and I took her picture.
I then uploaded it into photoshop.
step 2 of 9
I started with a little spot removal by setting the spot healing tool too sample all layers.
Then I used the tool on a new layer.
step 3 of 9
I then whitened her teeth by creating a new layer and going over the teeth with white.
I then set the layer mode to saturate.
step 4 of 9
I then used the dodge tool over the eyes and the burn tool around the mouth.
step 5 of 9
I then decieded on the eyes to be different (I had a lot of back and forth over that, thank god for layers)
I used the burn tool, I made a layer of yellow over the eyes and changed the blending mode to overlay.
then on a new layer I made some bloodshot marks in the eyes with a soft brush on 1pxl.
I then blured it together.
(I did mess with the eyes often throughout the project, using burn and dodge and blur till I had the effect I wanted)
step 6 of 9
I then used the colour range selection method to make a selection of her face/skin.
I then made a layer via copy and changed the hue/saturation of it (ctrl =U)
I then used a layer filter to give it a sparkle like effect.
step 7 of 9
I then changed the opacity of that skin layer to about 36%
and used the erasor tool on a low level to blend in some of the areas.
step 8 of 9
I then added some blood to the teeth using a soft brush and the smudge and blur tool.
step 9 of 9
I then used the liquify tools to make the teeth seem bigger and sharper.
After that was done, I added a bit more colour to the blood on the teeth and used some adjustment layers to finish it off.
