For all of this image, I used the pen tool, brushes that are in CS3, smudge, dodge and burn and the rectangular and elliptical tools.
step 2 of 11
I filled a rectangle with brown, rounded out the corners, then used a natural brush to dodge and burn. The bristles were made with a natural brush and dodge and burn.
step 3 of 11
I started with a rectangle filled with yellow, then warped it a bit for the curve. Some d and b and then cut out the parts I didn't want.
step 4 of 11
Rectangle filled with green and used the eraser to punch holes in it. A dark back layer, distorted copies, merged, then smudged the edges. I also used a natural brush to d and b the surface, giving it some texture.
step 5 of 11
Rectangle with color, warped the curve on it, text, and dodge and burn.
step 6 of 11
Pen tool and stroke for the shape of the bottle, reduced the opacity of the blue, pen tool for the shape of the top gizmo (it just occurred to me that the spray handle is usually in the front. Oh well, new model. ;o) ) dodge and burn, soft brush for the shine.
step 7 of 11
Just your basic dodge and burn.
step 8 of 11
I used the pen tool for the shape of the dust pan, dodged and burned again and added a wall.
step 9 of 11
I used natural brushes to make the straw and to dodge and burn. Used the pen tool and stroke for the threads, erasing what I didn't want.
step 10 of 11
From the top, paint, burn, dodge, wet media brush to add dirt, same brush for the grass stains, smudge a bit and finally more burn.
I think I got something out of this . well done
