The Morocco scene is merged into background photo here, using the eraser tool on a soft pressure setting.
step 8 of 15
Foreground plants are duplicated and added to lower section below the city. Merging is done with eraser and cloning tools.
step 9 of 15
Road is cloned in using textures from the mountain. However, later I decided to use textures at base of the cactus for the road surface.I leave it in to show how changes are often made.
step 10 of 15
Cactus is lassoed from source and moved into work area.
step 11 of 15
Cactus is chopped, shadows put in with burn tool.
step 12 of 15
Camel is lassoed and brought into work area. He is scaled down (edit/transform/scale tool) and will be placed toward city area since feet and legs are not there. Plants will cover where they would be.
step 13 of 15
The resting camel is now lassoed and set into scene. It will be turned using the edit/transform/flip horizontally tool, then scaled to size to fit into foreground. Cactus is changed to opposite side the same way so that it won't interfere with original camel.
step 14 of 15
Birds are added now. The one photo is duplicated and sized, rotated and flipped around. The 3rd bird is made using the brush tool. Textures from area around the bottom of the original cactus photo is cloned onto the road surface.
step 15 of 15
Finally, shadows are checked over entire work to get same light source throughout. Then, a warm filter is placed over the piece to give it a nice, warm, not gaudy tone.
