glass bowl
Original image
step 1 of 12
My pic - my kitty named Mimi; she's looking at the water filling the big bucket...
step 2 of 12
Source from Pxleyes.
step 3 of 12
Added the original image for background.
step 4 of 12
Copied and pasted a piece of a tulip petal; with liquify tool I gave the fish body shape.
step 5 of 12
Another "copy-paste-liquify" and I did the back fin.
step 6 of 12
With the same process I did the tail; for belly fin I duplicated and resized back fin.
step 7 of 12
Using burn and dodge tools I did details on fins and tail.
step 8 of 12
I worked more on belly fin with liquify tool; duplicated it twice, one copy for lateral fin. Also duplicated the tail.
step 9 of 12
(I forgot to say I drew an eye on a new layer, applying bevel and emboss)
Duplicated the background and put it over all layers, lowering the opacity.
step 10 of 12
Using rectangular marquee tool, I selected a horizontal stripe; filled with grey, applied burn tool and bevel and emboss.
step 11 of 12
Using rectangular marquee tool again, I selected under the stripe and over the bowl shadow. On a new layer, I painted selected parts with light blue.
step 12 of 12
I copied, pasted and masked my kitty image. Using burn tool, I did her shadow on "table" image.
