Walkway and canyon photos are moved into one canvas after moving resolutions on each to 120.
step 6 of 13
Using perspective tool (edit/transform/perspective) the canyon is narrowed at bottom to give perspective needed to match background.
step 7 of 13
Using clone tool, bottom corners are filled in, then layers are merged together.
step 8 of 13
Crack-like lines are created to let canyon flow into walkway. A brush tool is used with a dark color.
step 9 of 13
More cracks are created going into walkway and cloning worked on down into canyon.
step 10 of 13
This cutaway shows the edges (thickness) being added to street level using the brush tool and burn tool to darken where needed.
step 11 of 13
Front corners are turned into 'street' surfaces with brush tool, and much cloning has been done to the canyon to create interesting shapes and shadows.
step 12 of 13
A small pattern layer is added to give texture to the canyon. Then, the top area over the street is erased so that as layer filters are added, the top area won't be changed.
step 13 of 13
Cat and dog have been added and placed partly on walkway and partly on canyon with shadows under each. Artistic stroke and chalk filters were added over canyon layer to complete scene.
