Pinwheel top for bell game is started, and background is being brushed and cloned . Source of little ducks is introduced, but will later be changed.
step 3 of 12
Background is finished, a tightwire has been drawn with brush tool.
step 4 of 12
Clown is created using brush tools and dishes he is juggling are added with round brush tool. They will be blurred with motion blur tool.
step 5 of 12
I decided to put little ducks on the tight wire instead of as a game down below. The rotate tool is used to set them on the wire at correct angle, and the edit/transform/flip horizontally tool is used to turn them to right.
step 6 of 12
The clown in foreground and the hammer are begun now. The same face as clown at top will be used to show off his big teeth. Brush tools draw the shapes of his body and also to put in dots of different colors for his hair. Burn tool is used to created depth in hair.
step 7 of 12
Clown with hammer is finished. A trim of white is made with a round, hard brush tool, As is the ruffle around his neck and the cuffs on his sleeves. Depth is added to ruffles with the burn tool. Stripes on pants are made with burn tool. Brush tool is used to complete his face and burn tool to give it shape and shadows.
step 8 of 12
Spotlights are added at bottom of canvas. Using Filter/render/lighting effects I used the spotlight with 5 lights up, Full intensity, and Focus of 90. This will darken background, however, it can be raised again with brightness/contrast tool.
step 9 of 12
Strongman hammer game is worked on now. The base and platform for hammer to hit have been given more of a 3D look by adding a top surface to them. Edges are roughened a little to look like they have been hit a lot. Lines are added on the post with a brush tool and the bell ringer is added and blurred with motion blur.
step 10 of 12
Here the blur has been added. Lines are also extended out from the bell to show that it has been rung. Hammer has been finished also with darker outside surface and burn tool used to give it more shape. Hitting surface of hammer is roughened with a scrub brush tool in a couple different brown shades.
step 11 of 12
Final adjustments are made to brightness and contrast. I did not merge all the elements at the end, so adjustments are just easier. I also check over everything for rough edges that need smoothed out.
