step 1 of 8

blended sources and did as described in the tutorial;
flipped image and increased the height to equal the width.

did a sphearize with polar coordinates and came up with this...

rotated to get it to look how i want, then cloned in the missing spots...

misc cloud brushes i had, not sure where i got them... lots to be found.

added clouds and slightly skewed them to fit in the image.

plane brush i had...

showing various steps to achieve end result.

warp to create bend, then burn and dodge to give the plane depth and shadow.

fitted plane into picture, added a jet stream behind it...

bird brush i had, then again, the warp, dodge, and burn, to give each one action and depth.

placed birds into image...

to finish i copied whole image added various effects and filters with different blending techniques to reach end result...
