May I make a suggestion, I'm new to cinema 4d and found that you get a fantastic looking image by using Global Illumination or Ambient Occlusion. If you take a look at your toolbar at the top, you will see 3 clapperboards. If you click on the right most one it will bring up your render settings window and a list of items. select Output and you can change your image size and resolution, there is a small button at the top with a triangle click on that and there are presets for screen size. Below Output there is Anti-Aliasing, select that and change Geometry to Best (a must for glass). Take a look below Anti-Aliasing and you will then see a button titled effect... click on that and then choose to start with Ambient Occlusion. Now go and render your image again. Instead of Ambient Occlusion try Global Illumination you might need more light in the scene though.
