Nest is lassoed and moved into buildings source photo.
step 5 of 9
Nest is chopped using eraser and eraser background tool. More sticks will be added with brush tool. Also, strip of the original source is selected and cropped and will be final background. Top portion will be lightened and bottom darkened to help storks become center of focus.
step 6 of 9
Now the stork with wings extended is added. After chopping (used soft eraser on soft white body feathersj) it is set into nest materials and sized to proportionately fit into scene (edit/transform/scale)
step 7 of 9
Next the standing stork is moved in and chopped for foreground. It also must be rotated slightly to stand up straight on roof, and feet drawn in with the brush tool. Some shadows are added under it after flipping it horizontally (edit/transform/horizontal)
Shadows are also added under the nest and where nesting materials hang down.
step 8 of 9
Blue filter is added over background buildings, then blue and brown over the birds. The opacity of these filters are adjusted as desired, usually at least 50%.
step 9 of 9
Last of all I decided to add some chimneys with smoke which was done with the brush tools. Also, I used the brush tool to do the sign in front of the Stork Club.
