Copied, pasted and mask the pirate. Using clone stamp tool, erased part of the sword.

Copied, pasted, distorted with warp tool and masked source image.

Added flames.

Picked the color of the flames and painted a new layer; applied overlay blending. On the top of all layers, added a new one filled with black and reduced the opacity. Using a soft eraser, took off unwanted parts.
