To begin, the Indian head is moved into the photo of Indian on horse.
step 5 of 13
Head is desaturated, then chopped and scaled down to fit face of indian on horse.
step 6 of 13
Face is rotated and edges erased until it fits over face of indian on horse.
step 7 of 13
Face is merged to other face, then dodge tool is used to tone down areas still fairly black, then burn tool is used at low degree to add grayish look like rest of statue. Edges are smudged to blend.

step 9 of 13
Background source photo (One of my own photos)
step 10 of 13
Indian on horse statue is moved over the background source of the Smokeys.
step 11 of 13
A reddish brown filter is now placed over entire canvas after merging visible.
step 12 of 13
The original source head is now added into background, left top corner. The liquify warp tool has been used to change head dress into feathers and head band, then head is sized to fill corner to balance off the statue. Head is sent to layer behind the reddish brown filter.
step 13 of 13
There has been a tear added to the large Indian face, then eagles are inserted, chopped, and sized with larger one being in the foreground, then smaller ones in distance. Those in distance are also reduced in opacity and moved behind filter layer.
