i created the sky and grass with shape layers and added some 'textures' from the filters menu. i smudged the top of the green shape layer to create a 'grassy' look.
I also colorized the house, added a door, and flipped the house around.

i used free cloud brushes from brusheezy.com and took a photo from my own collection to create the palm tree overlay on the blue sky.
I also did a pattern overlay for the roof, one brick overlay, and then a rock overlay for the rough look.
for the road i simply created a rectangle and warped it to my liking.
