bleded them together until i thought it looked good

drew out the shape i wanted the tongue to be and applied a gradient

got a rough idea of where i wanted to place the source image

used he/saturation to adjust the colour

applied the texture or the slug to the shape i wanted and reinforced the highlight of the slug to make it look better

used the brush tool to add red bits to the models hair just because i personally thought it would give her that badass edge and make the image look cooler lol

set it to soft light then to finish off the final image i changed the brightness/contrast settings to my taste :)
