step 3 of 10
roof duplications are merged here, then they are duplicated and flipped horizontally.
step 4 of 10
To pieces are now merged together, then the liquify bloat tool is used to create the face of bird. It will be flipped vertically.
step 5 of 10
Here are the steps to forming the legs
step 6 of 10
Here wings are formed using the bloat and push left tool.
step 7 of 10
Bird parts are merged together and colors are added using hue color change tool. This will be adjusted as piece moves along.
step 8 of 10
Mill is chopped and color changed. Railing is formed for the top in a separate layer so color change and sizing will be easier. Several birds are duplicated and scaled down to a very small size to place behind railing.
step 9 of 10
Trees and water source are added to background, and placed so that mill wheel appears to be down in the water.
step 10 of 10
Background trees and water are color changed. It just seemed that they needed lots of color to keep it from looking too realistic with the silly birds. Fishing pole, fish, and net are drawn in with brush tools, then burn tool adds shadows and some dodge tool highlights are added to finish it up.
