making the fire I started by making white rectangul then warping it abit just to get abit of shape started. then goto blending options for that layer and set it as in the screen shot.

once thats done I use the smudge tool yo mix it up following how flames would look

once that done then goto color balance ( you can play aroung make the fire any color you want. I used the ones you see in the screenshot for this image

I cut out and warped parts of the background under his feet to make them look bent up ect from the robot. as shown

Fire layers all the fire was made from the same one I made in the first steps. It was warped flipped ect to hide that fact.

the last thing to make the fire. I copied and pasted the 2 areas from the background marked in this image, then placed them in new layers.I changed the blending options to overlay. move the layer above the fire layers. the wood and tracks show threw and the fires color really came alive.
Flames are simply fantastic, too realistic!
