Foggy mountain source photo (my own)
step 4 of 10
Horse has been chopped from contest source
step 5 of 10
Horse is moved into background photo and scaled to size. Later it will be flipped horizontally to be moved to left side of canvas.
step 6 of 10
Moose is now chopped and moved into scene, scaling it to proportionate size of horse.
step 7 of 10
Bush chopped out of source photo and placed in foreground of canvas, again scaling it to size.
step 8 of 10
Here the horse has been totally rotated just enough to give it more of an attack angle.
step 9 of 10
Here the horse and moose have been switched around using the edit/flip/horizontal tool. Birds have been drawn in with brush tool, each at a different angle and different size to add perspective. They also are placed in a curved design which follows from horse's head down , moving the viewer's eyes to moose, up through the horse, throudh the birds, etc. The horse also has had a mane created using liquify warp tool, then smudge tool on edges.
step 10 of 10
After desaturation, and some color being added with color balance tool, hue/saturation tool brings up oranges.
