The sketch

1. The main body and the wings:
I just cut the margins of the wood submarin, and make the main body little, while leaving the wings bigger, I have duplicated the wing making it bigger, i used also the stamp tool for the wing texture, after ai finished the wing, i duplicate it and i have put it in the back smaller and in the right side too, as you can see in the final result

3. The fan
I just tooked the part that you can see in the picture, and add lights and shadows

4. Engine
I took the front (metal part) of the source, added some colors with color balance and some shadows+lights

5. Propeller
I used this tutorial for the propellers

6. The top exhaust
I used this source, and i added some smoke

2. The bottom exhaust:
I used this source, i changed the color with the balance/color filter, i desaturated it a little and i added some shadows and highlights and some smoke
