This is the original patent drawing, submitted to the American patent office. I used this image as the blue print for the model. There are many good tutorials on the web, that show you how to set up a blueprint for modeling, hence I haven't.

Modeled the wheels first. With blue print modeling such as this I tend to go for the larger objects first then concentrate on the details later.

Using a studio rig is great, if you get the render and camera settings right, almost any object will look real. Here's a link to a great tutorial that will show you how to set up a studio rig correctly and give you some render settings too.
