Creating butterflies from drawing with brush tool, then filling in colors with paint bucket tool.
step 4 of 9
Sunflowers are drawn with brush tool, filled in with color with paintbrush tools, some liquifying warp on leaves.
step 5 of 9
Fan shaped leaves source photo
step 6 of 9
The leaf source with fan shaped leaves is moved in with girls source on a new canvas 8 x 8 with resolution 120 on each.
step 7 of 9
First I tried liquifying the fan shapes and putting them through girl's hair, but changed my mind and removed them later. Instead, I made little leaf shapes cover her necklace, and also faded edges of girl's source using low setting on the eraser tool and soft airbrush. Background was created with red leaf pattern which I made from my photo and added to 'Define Pattern' in the edit function. Overlays were then made with butterflies and sunflowers in different sizes, lowering opacity of many as well as sizing some smaller.
step 8 of 9
Here the sunflower is made larger, which helped give focus on the girl's face. It is duplicated with a filter layer in yellow orange, then rotated slightly to give more dimention to the flower. Then right side is lowered in opacity using brush eraser tool at a low setting. Some little star shapes have been added in several different colors using brush tool at star setting.
step 9 of 9
Finally, all 'visible layers' are merged, a gradient layer with dk red at top and purple at bottom is added (15%) and a yellow-orange filter at 15% is placed over all.
