The source violin is brought into canvas with background building. Musician is also brought in, but I will eliminate it later when I find the frog violinist.
step 2 of 17
Chopped violin is placed on top of building and will become part of the building with a brick-type covering.
step 3 of 17
Here with brush tools, some of the flaws are smoothed over so they won't show through a filter layer. Edges around entire instrument will be corrected later.
step 4 of 17
A filter layer with brick texture is added over violin, then reduced to 20% so that it can be trimmed with eraser tool to exact size to cover violin.
step 5 of 17
The dark shapes where strings will be added are painted in with brush tool.
step 6 of 17
The missing tuning keys have been added by lassoing a key from the violin source and duplicating, rotating it.
step 7 of 17
A bridge is drawn into center, then string are added using a small, hard brush tool.
step 8 of 17
Frog from source photo is roughly lassoed and moved into canvas to be chopped with eraser tool.
step 9 of 17
First frog is chopped, then duplicated
step 10 of 17
The third frog is duplicated (alt key used), then color is changed on all three using the hue/saturation tool. Liquify warp is used on middle frog to give arm and head different angles than the other two. Scale tool varies the sizes, edit/transform/flip tool is also used at this point to change direction of two frogs. All frogs need toes added with smudge tool, and chains removed. Cloning tool on feet and legs completes textures there.
step 11 of 17
Text is added using the text tools and Teenage Girl1 text. Shape is changed to fit on side of building and sky is erased, adding nebulae source and darkening to give it a night time feeling.
step 12 of 17
A 'stage' is brushed in on building layer, then lighting is added using filter/render/lighting effects tool.
step 13 of 17
Frogs are completed by cloning vests, highlighting eyes, and then adding shadows with burn tool.
step 14 of 17
Some final color/hue changes are made, then all 'visible layers' are merged. Finally, yellow and brown/red filters at 15% are placed over the canvas. Size of canvas is reduced to 100 res.
