A lot of work here for the book. Copied a section, then warped it to fit. Cut and deleted some bottom parts, made spine bottom to match top of spine.
step 2 of 8
Extracted and then warped the wizard's hat to fit the man. Burned in some shadows on the man's forehead.
step 3 of 8
Added a leather texture overlay to the book - pattern and color in the ps program. Later added some paint to 'antique' the book.
step 4 of 8
Extended the canvas downward to accommodate additional grass. Copied and warped the grass that was in front of the castle.
Used the background eraser to delete the nice pretty daytime sky. Used purple and white to make clouds, adjusted with brightness and levels.
step 5 of 8
Adjusted the color on the gargoyle.
step 6 of 8
After adding the girl, painted some pink areas, warped them, and added noise, and probably some blur. Played with a few different layers of these til I was satisfied.
step 7 of 8
Painted in a yellow-gold 'zig-zag', warped it toward the wizard's finger, added noise and blur.
Made some final tweaks such as adding a layer for the illusion of the moon in the upper right corner, just white paint with a soft brush, lowered opacity and blurred.
step 8 of 8
Here's the pumpkin source link.
MM - we need a few more spots for additional sources. ;-)
