Created the hook in maya and then adjusted the angle so it fit with our scene
step 2 of 11
Then i've started to mask my picture so that i get only the cup
step 3 of 11
after that i aded the hook with a uniform texture.. figured it woul be easier to texture it in photoshop than unrap the uw and tweak it in maya.. since our model is intended for importing in our scene it was easier this way.
When rendering the hook, i had to be carefull that the lights would match
step 4 of 11
so this is our bluprint.. i agree it looks better than my rendered model :).. patience is one of my flaws!!!
step 5 of 11
after that i extracted the image planes in photoshop and imported them in maya
step 6 of 11
started modeling the doll
step 7 of 11
so.. this is the finished model
step 8 of 11
step 9 of 11
this is the textured model..
Since i was going to import the image in photoshop and i nedeed jut one angle.. i made a quick planar mapping from the angle i was interested... that's why we have some stretched textures over the arms
step 10 of 11
i rendered the image in PNG format or PONG :) to get the model without the black background.
After this i imported the model in PS.
step 11 of 11
after this i made the final adjustments and the most time consuming.. burning and dodge the picture so that it would look right.. aded some glow on the red eye, and wit a soft brush i painted with some white and the blured what i've painted...
