Liquify-warped background duplicated, then scaled again into narrower strips, which will be merged again, matching up edges carefully.
step 3 of 15
Finally, the background is ready to be used behind the floral arrangement. Later it will be colored with a gradient layer with yellow at top and purple at bottom.
step 4 of 15
Petals are cut out of a piece of the brick using the lasso tool, then edges are refined with eraser tool, and some shaping with liquify warp tool and with the smudge tool.
step 5 of 15
Petals are duplicated, then rotated to place in a circle for the flower. Centers stems are pulled out with smudge tool.
step 6 of 15
Center is created for flower and green leaves are made of a red leaf with color change.
step 7 of 15
A pine needle is formed from a piece of the green hose which was lassoed and brought into a new canvas. The needle is given some curve using the liquify warp tool, then duplicated. Groups of 4 or 5 needles are put together and merged. They will now be duplicated as a group to be attached to the center of branch. This branch is made from the black post (or pipe) next to the hose.
step 8 of 15
Here is a branch with groups of needles in place ready to merge. The merged branch will then be duplicated to be used as the basic line material of the arrangement.
step 9 of 15
Here the branches have been duplicated and rotated to place where needed. Several are also flipped vertically for base of the arrangement. Scale tool stretches some for more height and to get them a little narrower. Eraser tool is used to shorten them when needed. Dodge tool will be used to make highlights on the right side, burn tool to put shadows on the left sides away from the light.
step 10 of 15
Flowers are inserted into a design with nice flow from the bottom, curving upward. Flowers toward top will be slightly smaller (scale tool).
step 11 of 15
The deer has been added here, and also some of the buds made from faucet parts are added . They will be scaled to different sizes and some will have some color added. The squiggle' are made of a section of the green hose . They are size and color changed as needed to complete the arrangement.
step 12 of 15
The liquified background done at the beginning is now added behind the arrangement, and a gradient layer is added over it with yellow at top and blue/purple at bottom.
step 13 of 15
Burning and dodging have been done here to give more depth.
step 14 of 15
More shadows are developed throughout the arrangement here, and space under arrangement is changed into a flowing pattern using the liquify warp tool. Then it is burned to develop shadows in that area as well.
step 15 of 15
Finally a red/brown filter is added over the entire merged arrangement and set to 35% opacity, then a soft omni light is added to the arrangement to highlight the flowers even more.
